To bring the new and old together in making disciples of Jesus Christ by bringing God’s Word to life, sharing radical hospitality and reaching out to the community and world.
OUR PURPOSE
The Pine Island United Methodist Church has a rich 150 year history of touching peoples lives as part of the body of Christ. We see that we bring the new and old together by:
- connecting the transforming power of Jesus Christ in who we are and what we do by allowing for rebirth in our lives, community and the world.- connection our 150 year tradition, with new technology, new ideas and new people. - connecting with the changes our community is facing, as we are and will take an active role in helping new people connect with the overall community.Because of our rich history our church is a multi-generational church. You can come to a worship service and see people that are over 90 and under 1 year of age. Our goal is be a church that cuts accross the multi-generational levels by doing ministries that minister to ministies that help create and nurture disciples regardless of age. We want to continue doing ministries that have touched people lives. and helped them be disciples while adding new ministries that touch new people and new generations.
